Job purpose
- Lead to manage and execute business successfully for all mode of transport.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Design and implement a strategic operational business plan that expands company’s customer base, customer satisfaction and profitable growth
- Control and Monitor cost related to each job and DSO control
- Managing budgets, P&L responsibility
- Participate to standardized operational process and monitoring system to complete accurate shipment flow
- Define and follow standard operating procedure, proactively create, manage and monitor the operations function KPI’s
- Coordinate with external & internal stakeholders for any operation work related to each shipment i.e., freight, truck, customs, documentation, billing etc
- Provide reports (tracking, status report etc) to customers as required
- Build good working relation, negotiate, close deals and handle complaints or objections with stakeholders
- Focus to maximize GP to company through upselling and cost management; strengthen the engagement with network and drive value through the network.
- Own recruiting, target setting, coaching and performance monitoring of operation team
- Others responsibilities as assigned by line manager and company requirement
- Build dynamic and responsive ops team
- Effective cost control to improve GP
- Customer satisfaction

Background and experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of freight forwarding experience
- Master/ Bachelor degree with prior min 5 years of operations (Air/ Sea/ Road/ Cross border/ Pricing/ Customs etc) experience in freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of freight forwarder, suppliers, carriers, oversea network with excellent win-win pricing negotiation skill
- Act agile, take responsibilities of the results, having sense of urgency to act.
- Report and act on irregularities and risks immediately to avoid operational incidents such as delays, cargo damages etc to keep up with the operational performance quality.
- Service mind, Self-starter, highly energetic and result oriented to execute operations independently
Competencies and skills
- Day to Day problems solving
- Communicate with carriers, coleaders and other stake holders to ensure high levels of service, safety and compliance are adhered and achieve the most efficient cost.
- Export, import documentations and related end to end process & formalities (regulatory requirements) via all mode of transport
- Internal communication and collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and other stakeholders.
- Basic English communication skills
- Continuous improvement mentally.
